Last night, February 18, Harvey Weinstein hosted a star-studded performance of Eugene O'Neill's HUGHIE -- starring Academy Award winner, Golden Globe Award winner & BAFTA winner Forest Whitaker and Tony Award winner Frank Wood at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45 Street) -- followed by and intimate reception in celebration of director Michael Grandage and Whitaker, who is making his Broadway debut. The 20th Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit took place on July 27, 2013 at the The Watermill Center in Water Mill, NY. Beginning at 6pm, the evening included cocktails provided by Bacardi USA, a silent auction, performances, art installations, dinner, dancing, and a live auction hosted by auctioneer Simon de Pury. Photo Coverage: NY Philharmonic Presents All-Star COMPANY - Gala Arrivals
The New York Philharmonic is presenting Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris (Robert). The concert production played its first show last night and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the starry arrivals! The award-winning musical is being produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and is being conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. The concert runs through April 9, 2011.
