NBC Unveils Fall Premiere Dates 2024/25 Season
NBC sets Premiere Week to begin on Monday, Sept. 23, kicking off the 2024-25 season which includes a strong lineup of returning favorites as well as the debut of new medical drama “Brilliant Minds” starring Zachary Quinto and a pair of freshmen comedies – “Happy’s Place,” starring Reba McEntire, and “St. Denis Medical,” from the team behind 'Superstore' and 'American Auto.'

Andy Serkis to Direct/Star in New LORD OF THE RINGS Film From Producer Peter Jackson
The first film has a tentative title of The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum and will be directed by the Gollum actor, who will also reprise his iconic role from the earlier installments. The film is planned for a 2026 release, with the team already in the early stages of development on the screenplay. Peter Jackson will also return to the franchise as producer alongside Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.
Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy Cast in THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE
tick, tick... BOOM! star Andrew Garfield and The Crown star Claire Foy will reunite in a new adaptation of the classic children's novels by Enid Blyton. In The Magic Faraway Tree, Garfield and Foy will play a couple, Tim and Polly respectively, who move their family to the remote English countryside. After their relocation, the children discover the magical 'Faraway Tree' that houses residents who live within its branches.
