On Saturday, July 31st, the South Fork Natural History Museum (SOFO), the only state-of-the-art natural history museum on the South Fork of Long Island, celebrated the marvelous eco-system and abundant bounty of the Hamptons and the Museum's 32 years of leadership in nature conservation at its 32nd Annual Summer Gala Benefit (The Journey Forward: Reconnecting Through Nature) at The South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton, NY.

On June 20th, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation's founding chairs Emily Levin Esq. and Julie Ratner Ed. D held their 20th annual gala to celebrate their achievements over the past two decades and to honor Andy Sabin for his environmental and philanthropic work. Chaired by Jean Shafiroff and hosted by Fox Meteorologist Audrey Puente, the duo welcomed over 300 guests to photographer, Steven Klein's Westkill Farm in Bridgehampton for a night of dinner and dancing to the sounds of Audrey's brother, Tito Puente Jr. & his 10-piece band. Benefits by Bay Street presented TYPHOON RELIEF FOR THE PHILIPPINES night of bands on Sunday, November 24. The lineup of bands included LOLA, THE VANDETTAS, NANCY ATLAS, INDA EATON, HOODOO LOUNGERS, GENE CASEY, RICK DAVIES, ESCOLA de SAMBA BOOM and JOE DELIA and the THIEVES. The night of fundraising included a silent auction and was co-hosted by Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman and Bonnie Grice for WPPB. All ticket proceeds will be distributed to the Red Cross to aid in helping the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

Guild Hall, the visual and performing arts center on eastern Long Island, recently honored the recipients of the 28th Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards: John Alexander for Visual Arts; Walter Isaacson for Literary Arts; Nathan Lane for Performing Arts and Mickey Straus, who received the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Marshall Brickman was the Master of Ceremonies with special guest presenters: Ken Auletta, Alec Baldwin, Jack O'Brien and Lorne Michaels.
