Mark Amin’s Sobini Films has set Lauren Staerck and Natasha Henstridge to star in the horror/fairytale CINDERELLA’S REVENGE directed by Andy Edwards (Zombie Spring Breakers). The film is produced by Mark Amin of Sobini Films, Mark Lester, Cami Winikoff, and Jessica Mathis, with Stephanie Lodge, Beatrice Fletcher, Megan Purvis and Darrell Griggs.

HISTORY announces the return of Car Week with the unprecedented 3-hour live television event 'Evel Live 2' where jaws will once again drop as two motorcycle daredevils attempt to cheat death and make history on HISTORY on Sunday, July 7 beginning at 8pm ET. Inspired by the legendary stunts of daredevil Evel Knievel, the live broadcast produced in partnership with Nitro Circus will follow two athletes, renowned freestyle motocross athlete Axell Hodges and four-time X Games Medalist Vicki Golden, as they aim to set new world records with three epic motorcycle stunts. World Premiere of THE CHAMPION Starts 10/11 at TheatreSquared
On October 11, a world premiere drama based on untold true events in the life of Nina Simone will begin performances at TheatreSquared. Written by Brooklyn-based playwright Amy Evans, whose extensive one-on-one interviews with Simone's former bandmates supplied the storyline and inspiration for the play, The Champion is the story of one high-stakes night in a small-town diner in North Carolina. Al Schackman, Simone's bandleader and 40-year collaborator, will attend the official opening night performance on October 13 and join in on guitar for an intimate concert post-show performance with the actor Joy Jones, who portrays Simone. Six weekly performances are scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, October 11-November 5, with single tickets now on sale at theatre2.org or (479) 443-5600. Season packages are also on sale, with five-play packages ranging from $79-194.
National Theatre, Royal Court Stars to Join Alan MacKenzie in SCRIBBLE at Edinburgh Fringe
Twenty-three performers who have performed with organisations and venues including the National Theatre and Royal Court in London, the English National Opera, National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre and Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theatre and Traverse Theatre will be taking to the stage to perform the supporting role during the month-long Festival Fringe run of Scribble, winner of the Assembly Roxy Theatre award, opposite Alan MacKenzie in the lead role of Ross.

INTIMATE APPAREL Comes to TheatreSquared
Next week, TheatreSquared will open the award-winning, poignant, and uplifting new American drama Intimate Apparel, winner of five national awards for Best Play. This turn-of-the-century story about the empowerment of Esther, an African American seamstress who sews brilliantly intricate "intimates" for high society and red-light women alike, was written by Pulitzer Prize and MacArthur "genius" grant recipient Lynn Nottage. Shana Gold (Rapture Blister Burn, Proof) directs a professional cast hailing from Northwest Arkansas, Chicago and New York.
