KCRep to Present Virtual Gala 2021 May 13
Kansas City Repertory Theatre has announced its 2021 virtual gala to be held Thursday, May 13 at 7 p.m. The celebration will shine a spotlight on the impact that the pandemic has had and underscore KCRep's ability to produce new and inspiring work during the past year.
New Hampshire Theatre Project Presents Second Elephant-in-the-Room Series
The second event in New Hampshire Theatre Project's provocative new Elephant-in-the-Room Series of playreadings and community discussion will focus on the topic of Mental Illness, featuring a performance of Snap! by guest artist Regi Carpenter. Regi has toured her solo shows and workshops in theaters, festivals and schools, nationally and internationally. She is the recipient of many awards, including Storytelling World, Parent's Choice, and Parents' Guide to Children's Media Award. Her stories have been featured on Sirius Radio, Apple Seed Radio, The Moth, and NPR. Snap! is a winner of the Boston StorySlam.

MasterVoices raised more than $220,000 to fund the company's Artistic and Education Programs at its 2016 Spring Benefit which featured Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell and Nahum Tate starring Kelli O'Hara, Victoria Clark, Elliot Madore, Anna Christy, and Sarah Mesko, with a World Premiere prologue by Michael John LaChiusa, directed and choreographed by Doug Varone, and conducted by Ted Sperling at Le Parker Meridien and New York City Center on April 28, 2016.
