Andrew C. McGibbon is a veteran in the convergence of Broadway and the internet. He has spent the past thirty-two years as a professional Equity stage manager, producer, general manager, theatrical critic and blogger.
In 1994 Mr. McGibbon started BroadwayWorld-Wide.com, a site devoted to live theatre in New York City. The site was later purchased by, and became known as Playbill.com. After four years managing Playbill.com, Mr. McGibbon spent nine seasons as the website manager and video segment producer for TonyAwards.com. While at the Tony Awards he interviewed more than 80 Tony Award winners about their experience winning a Tony. Mr. McGibbon also spent five years as the website manager for Jazz at Lincoln Center.
In 2008, Mr. Mcgibbon started TheAndyGram.com as an outlet for his reviews of New York theatre and his inside view of the theatre industry. The site also provides the latest news from Broadway, regional and London theatre.
Mr. McGibbon attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is a BA candidate at Thomas Edison State College. He will be a 2013 Fellow at the National Critics Institute, a part of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in New London, CT.
Mr. McGibbon is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, the Independent Theatre Bloggers Association, Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.
