ONLY HUMAN Comes to Vivid Stage This Month
Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present Only Human: Stories of Connection from February 23 through March 5. The evening is made up of seven short plays by the playwrights Barbara Blumenthal-Erlich, Laura Ekstrand, Steve Harper, Stephen Kaplan, Mark Harvey Levine, Matthew Weaver and David Lee White.
ArtYard Presents Staged Reading Of WHITTER By Tylie Shider
ArtYard will present a staged reading of Whittier by Tylie Shider, the inaugural playwright in its residency program. The event will take place on Saturday, May 21 at 4 p.m. in the nonprofit art center's newly opened McDonnell Theater. An artist talk and audience Q&A will follow the reading.

JCTC's New Play Festival to Premiere 10 Plays on Healing
The Jersey City Theater Center’s 2021 New Play Festival, part of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s 2021 Stages Festival, will present ten new plays about healing from the US, Canada and New Zealand on four consecutive Thursdays, from May 6 to May 27. All shows are at 7:30pm.
Newark Symphony Hall and WACO Theater Present BLACK TERROR

The New Jersey One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) returns for The 8th Annual New Jersey One-Minute Play Festival! 1MPF is the country's largest and longest continually running community-engaged theatre project, aimed at exploring local topics, ideas, trends, and seeding conversations for, by, and about artists and citizens of NJ. The marathon evening of one-minute plays by some of New Jersey's established and emerging playwrights and directors will have three performances: Saturday, June 30th at 8pm, Sunday, July 1st at 3pm and 7pm. BWW Review: RAISIN IN THE SUN at Two River Theater is a Masterpiece
The wait is over. Two River Theater (TRT) opens its 2017/2018 Season with an outstanding production of the time-honored classic, A Raisin in the Sun. The show will be on the Red Bank stage now through October 8. Written by Lorraine Hansberry and directed by Carl Cofield, it is staged and performed to perfection.

It was a swell family affair at Two River Theater last night as a searing and powerful production of Lorraine Hansberry's American classic A Raisin in the Sun, helmed by Carl Cofield and starring Brandon J. Dirden as Walter Lee Younger, his wife Crystal A. Dickinson as Ruth Younger, his father Willie Dirden as Bobo, Brenda Pressley as Lena Younger, Jasmine Batchelor as Beneatha Younger, Nat DeWolf as Karl Lindner, Charlie Hudson III as Joseph Asagai, Owen Tabaka as Travis Younger, York Walker as George Murchison, with Andrew Binger and David Joel Rivera as the Moving Men, celebrated opening night.
