Emergent Arts at The Yellow Barn to Present STAGE TIME, 1/17
On January 17, Emergent Arts will begin a new series of shows at The Yellow Barn in Ann Arbor, Michigan, under the title "Stage Time", featuring standup comedy, music and other variety acts as available. Showtime is 7:30pm on Sunday the 17th, followed at 9pm by Emergent Arts' own UNclub Open Mic. Tickets to "Stage Time" are $10 at the door or on-line at www.emergentarts.com.

Planet Ant is excited to open its 2012-2013 season with Hamtown Races, a new work from Margaret Edwartowski (Harper Woods), author of last season's Snowbound and The Do Over. This original production will take audiences to the Al Ameer Cafe, a family business owned and operated by Lebanese immigrants that plays host to a colorful and diverse collection of characters, each representative of the varied and shifting cultures in Hamtramck. Hamtown Races pays homage to this one of a kind city and features Stephen Blackwell (Berkley), Patrick O'Connor Cronin (Bloomfield Hills), Mike Eshaq (Dearborn), Britta Peele (Harrison Township), Amy Probst (Detroit) and Rico Bruce Wade (Lansing), directed by Mike McGettigan (Dearborn) assisted by Michael Hovitch (Ferndale) with stage manager Genevieve Jona (Farmington Hills).
