The Fifth Annual Blumey Awards Winners Announced!
The fifth annual Blumenthal Performing Arts High School Musical Theater Awards culminated Sunday, May 22, at a gala award celebration where winners in 12 categories were announced and nominees for Best Actor, Best Actress and Wells Fargo Best Musical performed live on stage at the Belk Theater. The Blumey Awards were presented by Wells Fargo.

Blumenthal Performing Arts is pleased to announce the 72 nominees - six each in 12 categories - competing in the 5th Annual High School Musical Theater Awards, also known as The Blumey Awards, presented by Wells Fargo on Sunday, May 22, in Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.
Gamut Theatre Group to Present WOMEN PLAYING HAMLET
The National New Play Network (NNPN) in Washington, D.C., has chosen Gamut Theatre Group as one of three theaters across the country to premiere Women Playing Hamlet, written by William Missouri Downs. The play opens March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Gamut Classic Theatre, and runs through March 29 with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and matinees on Sundays at 2:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $27. Theatre Harrisburg to Open Season with THE PHILADELPHIA STORY, 9/5-14
Theatre Harrisburg opens its 89th Mainstage season with the classic romantic comedy THE PHILADELPHIA STORY. Presented at the Krevsky Production Center in uptown Harrisburg, performances are scheduled for September 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14. Curtain times are Wednesday & Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays are 2:00 p.m. All tickets, available at (717) 214-ARTS, are priced at $25 except Wednesday, September 10 when all tickets are $20. Holly Easterbrook, recently staring in Assassins at the Union, will lead the cast playing
protagonist Catherine. She is joined by Amy Burke (nominated for an Off-West End award for her
role in Godspell in 2011) will play sister Claire. Marcus Taylor will play the two sister's father
Robert, whilst Arts Ed graduate Dan Cohen has been cast in the part of mathematical academic Hal.
