Amina Camille (she/her) is an Egyptian-American opera singer-turned-thespian shaking things up in the theatre and TV/film industries. Her aim is to break boundaries and shift the perception of what a leading lady “should be”.
Originally hailing from Texas, Amina attended the prestigious Dallas Arts Magnet- Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts with a concentration on Vocal Performance. While in attendance, she had the privilege of opening for and working with various high-profile musicians including: Josh Groban, Willie Nelson, Jessica Simpson, and Michael Bolton. She then went on to receive her conservatory education in New York City at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in the Integrated Musical Theatre program.
Upon graduating, she worked on several original musical productions written and directed by YouTube sensation Todrick Hall (CinderellaROCK!, Fairytale’d, Oz the Musical ) and was an original company member of the first and only revival of Earl Wilson Jr.’s Let My People Come, A Sexual Musical. She has performed extensively in New York City in theatrical productions, workshops, concerts, cabarets and burlesque shows.
