RED LODGE Comes to Philly Fringe

Red Lodge, Montana is a new work co-created by director Michael Osinski and the ensemble cast. Set in the former girls' locker room in the basement of Bok, the show follows a troupe of actors as they attempt to produce their own send-up of Lynch's landmark television series Twin Peaks. What they end up creating is a live-action nightmare. Audience members will follow the characters through the performance space as if they are walking through one of David Lynch's films.

Now in its 14th year, The Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program supports female solo artists with week-long residencies and small grant awards. In a celebration of independent theater, a collective of Philadelphia's most imaginative theater-makers bring audiences a double feature of The Jaws Project and The It Girl at Plays and the Players Theater. EgoPo Classic Theater Announces ANNA by Brenna Geffers and the Anna Ensemble

On March 31, EgoPo presents Anna, a World Premiere adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina. Playwright and Director Brenna Geffers brings literature's greatest heroine to new life with the help of a wandering theater troupe armed with a collection of rickety antiques and instruments. They perform the story, set in the shifting landscape of Imperial Russia, to seek refuge from their own unsettling world. You are invited on their journey, and Anna's, as they travel together toward the story's unavoidable end. Anna previews March 29-30 and opens Friday, March 31. The show runs three weeks, closing on Sunday, April 16. Tickets start at $25. Performances are at the Latvian Society Theater on 7th and Spring Garden.

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces a one-week-only extension of Rizzo by Bruce Graham through Sunday, October 23.  Currently running at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets) and directed by Joe Canuso in a re-mounting of Theatre Exile's sold-out production last fall, the ensemble cast features Scott Greer as Frank Rizzo with Damon Bonetti, Paul L. Nolan, Robert DaPonte, William Rahill, Amanda Schoonover, and Steven Wright.  The extra week includes performances on Tuesday at 6:30 PM,Wednesday at 7:00 PM, Thursday through Today at 8:00 PM and matinees today at 2:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM.
