Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights' only professional and award-winning theater company, presents the first NYC revival of the Sondheim/ Lapine musical Sondheim on Sondheim, a revue that brings many of this musical genius' works together to create quite a show in itself. With a magnificent cast and crew, director David Fuller brings a very noteworthy production to audiences who, whether or not they were familiar with Sondheim to begin with, will wind up loving him.

Broadway Night, the monthly musical theatre cabaret, will host MT Shorts to celebrate the release of their new musical short film JUMP, filmed in partnership with Atlanta Workshop Players (AWP) and penned by 2019 Jonathan Larson Grant Recipient Andy Roninson at Prohibition on Sunday November 24th at 8:30 PM.

On Friday, August 3rd, immediately following the 1pm performance of The Gunfighter Meets His Match at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues), there will be a special meet and greet event with the cast. Audience members of all ages (recommended for ages 7 and up) are welcome to come and meet the actors behind Abby Payne's new Wild West musical at the 2018 New York Musical Festival. This opportunity is coupled with a family ticket discount so everyone can enjoy live theater and experience the whimsical music of The Gunfighter Meets His Match! The classic musical On The Town is probably the perfect theatrical offering - thanks to Bellport's Gateway Playhouse- during the 4th Of July festivities. Instead of an overture, the band plays the Star Spangled Banner and the story follows three sailors from the US Navy on a one day shore leave. We follow the sailors as they quickly meet three women who show them around New York City on their day off.

As of this spring, Seth Bisen-Hersh has produced, emceed and accompanied over 400 showcases at Don't Tell Mama during the past 9 years. To celebrate, he has invited 74 showcase alumni to return to the stage in 5 concerts of his songs in what he deems: Seth's 400th Showcase Nonapalooza! The five concerts will be: Today, May 3rd; Today, May 10th; Friday, May 13th; Monday, May 16th; and Today, May 24th, all at 7PM. Shows are all at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46th St. There is a $12 cover and 2 drink minimum. Reservations can be made by calling 212-757-0788 after 4 or going online to donttellmamanyc.com/shows. The list of performers is below.
