New York Classical Theatre will pay homage to its hometown with a roving production of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' that recasts the beloved comedy's setting as fin de siècle New York. From May 31st to June 24th, the company will lead audiences on Shakespeare's lively journey of mistaken identities, misguided lovers, and joyous celebration, recasting the play's setting to New York City circa 1900.

Frank Strausser's hit Off-Broadway comedy PSYCHO THERAPY must end its run at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) on schedule today, May 26th, 2012 to make way for the previously scheduled Women's Project Theater's production of WE PLAY FOR THE GODS.

Albert Camus' rarely-seen 1948 play THE MISUNDERSTANDING will be performed Off-Broadway this fall, with an official press opening on November 2, 2009 at The Flea Theatre (41 White Street) in Manhattan. Ellen Crawford, widely-known for her many years on the popular television series 'ER,' has joined the cast of THE MISUNDERSTANDING, which is produced by Horizon Theatre Rep and presented by The Flea Theatre.
SPRING AWAKENING's Wright Joins NYMF's GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, Runs 9/28-10/11
Jonathan B. Wright (Spring Awakening - Broadway original cast, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Youth in Revolt) has been cast in the New York premiere of Gay Bride of Frankenstein, a 'comic-book-rock-musical' that begins its run at the New York Musical Theatre Festival on September 28. Wright joins fellow Spring Awakening alum, Emma Hunton, completing an outstanding cast which includes Darryl Winslow (Avenue Q, Evil Dead, Unlock'd - NYMF), Jeremiah James (Carousel - London), Dana Aber, Christian D. White, Christopher Hudson Myers and Ashley Kate Adams.
