BWW Review: You Won't Feel Like a Wallflower at DCPA's WILD PARTY
I think I'm addicted to immersive theatre, especially the way Denver Center's Off-Center has been bringing it. Their most recent production is a fully realized musical The Wild Party, a jazzy show set in the Roaring Twenties, where audience members can sip their gin alongside the performers. You're even encouraged to dress up in your best flapper attire.
Ethel Friend Premieres Original Opera
Ethelyn Friend, whose solo show 'Songs My Grandmothers Taught Me' was listed as one of the top ten shows of the decade 2000-2010 by The Daily Camera, brings a new music-theatre performance to Colorado audiences, joined by an ensemble of 5 actors.
Photo Flash: First Look at Joe Sabatino, Sam Nagel and More in the Philadelphia Premiere of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON
Andrew Jackson was a rock and roll GOD. He rode his outsider bad-boy image and his populist movement into office with promises to reform and representing the 'other' America. What happened next was broken promises and a Trail of Tears. The multiple Tony nominee and Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning high-octane rock musical is now playing through February 3 in a Philadelphia premiere production. Performances run Wednesday and Thursdays at 7pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm (except Jan. 19), and Sundays at 3pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look below.

Bright Light Theatre Company Takes THE 5TH FLOOR (AN ELEVATOR PLAY) to SoLow Festival 2012
Bright Light Theatre Company's The 5th Floor will run for the first weekend of the SoLow Festival, opening tonight, Friday June 15th at The Foremost Building, 525 South 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. The story unfolds as you travel floor to floor; secrets are revealed as the doors open and close. The 5th Floor explores personal intimacy and public boundaries through interrupted events and snippets of half-revealed truths to create a fluid blend of solo and ensemble performance. Only 5 audience members at a time are led through a strangely familiar, yet twisted reality as criminals dash into stairwells, lovers are discovered, and a power-hungry lawyer receives an unexpected visitor. As Bright Light's 5 creator-performers escape down hallways and emerge from dark corners, you become part of the action itself!
