Dallas Black Dance Theatre Launches Arts Education Initiative During February 2022
Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Dallas Summer Musicals are launching a new initiative to advance arts education accessibility during the pandemic. Between February 1-18, 2022, Dallas Black Dance Theatre will make available a virtual matinee performance of the highly acclaimed work ODETTA to every student and grade level in the Dallas Independent School District during Black History Month 2022.
Uptown Players Announces Special Gay History Month Programming
Uptown Players, a professional theater group located in the Uptown area of Dallas, has announced special programming to run during Gay History Month on the Bryant Hall stage on the Kalita Humphreys Theater campus. From October 18 through October 28, 2019, Uptown Players will present two plays with themes that focus on LGBTQ History.
The Firehouse Theatre Presents OSWALD, Starring Tony LePage
The Firehouse Theatre today announces the cast of its new developmental musical, OSWALD, which runs May 3-5, 2019 at The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch, Texas. The all-star cast includes three Equity actors from New York City for the special three-day presentation: Tina Stafford, who will play Marina Oswald-Porter, will be joined by two Broadway veterans, Justin Mortelliti, and Tony LePage, one of the show's writers, who will play out two possible versions of Lee Harvey Oswald's story simultaneously.

Inspired by the true events surrounding the 1913 murder trial of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-raised Jew living in Georgia who is wrongly convicted of the murder of 13-year old Mary Phagan, PARADE is filled with soaring music and a heart-wrenching story, offering a moral lesson about the dangers of prejudice and ignorance that should not be forgotten. Amid religious intolerance, political injustice and racial tension, the stirring Tony Award-winning PARADE explores the endurance of love and hope.

Theatre Three announces the annual return engagement of its New Year's staple I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change from December 29, 2016 to February 12, 2017 in the downstairs Theatre Too space. With book and lyrics by Joe DiPietroand music by Jimmy Roberts, this celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum know as 'the relationship.' Act I explores the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws, newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the 'seasoned citizen' set.
Broadway's Brian Gonzales to Star in ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS at WaterTower Theatre
WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting and creative team details for the regional premiere of One Man, Two Guvnors, directed by Terry Martin. Written by Richard Bean, One Man, Two Guvnors will run August 5-28, 2016. Brian Gonzales, currently performing on Broadway as Babkak in Disney's Aladdin, will star as Francis Henshall. Gonzales, who last performed on the WaterTower Theatre stage in Laughter on the 23rd Floor (2010), will reprise the role he understudied in the Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors.
