Alison Woods

Alison Woods is a Los Angeles based artist who transforms digital information into aesthetic, phenomenological, and material meditations in paint. She has exhibited Internationally in Rome, Greece, Berlin, Stockholm, Luxembourg, Australia, the Torrance Art Museum, Stanford University, LA n CV3, a survey of contemporary art in Los Angeles, The Brand Library, The Korean Cultural Center, Blam Projects Los Angeles and Brooklyn and been featured on Art Critic Charles Desmarais’ Blog. She was the Artslant 8th Showcase winner and selected for Art Trends Artist of the year. She has been a visiting lecturer at the California College of the Arts, San Francisco, CA and her work was chosen for the nationally juried show, Static/Flux. She was the featured artist at the StARTup Fair in Los Angeles. She founded the Bridge Residency, an invitational for artists wishing to explore the Los Angeles art scene. Woods received her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and received the SFAI faculty nomination for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant. She is an artist and curator at Durden and Ray Projects.
