VILLA NOVA E RESTAURANT in Pelham, presents Kimberly Faye Greenberg in Fabulous Fanny: The Songs and Stories of Fanny Brice. In this intimate 'Fanny Brice' solo show, Kimberly shares her extensive research not as another tribute, but to personally reveal Fanny's heart and humor, soul and song. Look into the life and relationships of the legendary Fanny Brice, greatest Jewish singing comedienne of her time and inspiration for the musical "Funny Girl."
KINKY BOOTS' Jeanna de Waal Joins Martin and Realbuto's Outcasts Like Us Lineup at 54 Below, 4/25
Jeanna de Waal (currently starring in Broadway's Kinky Boots; who also starred in the Off-Broadway revival of Carrie; Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway; We Will Rock You on the West End; and Glinda in the National Tour of Wicked) has joined the lineup of special guests for Martin and Realbuto's April 25th Outcasts Like Us concert at 54 Below. Previously announced Anneliese van der Pol has left the event due to scheduling issues.
Theater Resources Unlimited to Host Meet the Coaches 2014 & Audition Info Session, 3/8
Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2pm Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces Meet the Coaches 2014 (plus Audition Info Session), a unique opportunity for actors to personally meet a top-notch lineup of monologue and music coaches to help them shine at auditions. The event is presented as part of the 2014 TRU Audition Event on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2pm at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue, 10th Floor, NYC. Registration begins at 1:45pm, followed by an information and TRU Audition Q&A at 2:15pm. The Meet the Coaches presentations begin at 3:00pm, followed by a catered wine reception and one-on-one meetings with the coaches until 5:00pm. Admission is $15 to the public and free for TRU members and actors who are registered for the TRU Audition.
New Musical FREEDOM'S SONG Releases Single on iTunes
The writing team of the new musical Freedom's Song have released their first single onto iTunes this week. The writers Caleb Collins and Alison Holman have started crowd funding efforts to continue production of the musical, which recently had a sold-out and extended engagement at 'The West End' (formerly The Underground) in concert reading format.
GHOSTLIGHT Musical Gets Fall 2014 Workshop; Broadway Next?
As previously reported, the highly buzzed about musical Ghostlight, by popular up-and-comers Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, presented an industry reading on Monday, January 13th at Theater Three on West 43rd Street, following two highly-attended backer's auditions on December 2nd at The New 42nd Street Studios. Kevin Lambert (Broadway's Godspell) presented the January 13th reading, which was directed by Realbuto and Martin and featured a starstudded 18 person cast, including Drama League nominee and Great Comet star Phillipa Soo, three time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello, Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli, Jennifer Hope Wills, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, Trevor McQueen, and Abigail Ludrof. Alison Holman (Freedom's Song) provided the musical direction.

Kevin Lambert (Broadway's Godspell) presents an industry reading of the musical Ghostlight, written and directed by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto on Monday, January 13th , 2014 at 5:00 PM. Ghostlight had two highly-attended, successful backer's auditions at The New 42nd Street Studios on December 2nd. This is the first time a show has added a third reading so quickly due to popular demand. The January 13th reading will take place at Theater Three, 311 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor. 'GREAT COMET' Star Phillipa Soo Completes Cast of GHOSTLIGHT Reading, 1/13
Drama League Award nominee and Julliard graduate Phillipa Soo, who currently stars as Natasha in the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway hit Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812, and who also appeared as Lexi on Season Two of NBC's 'Smash', will star as Olive Thomas in the upcoming industry reading of the highly buzzed about new musical Ghostlight.
