Philadelphia Theater Maker Lee Minora In Residency At The Wilma Theater
The Wilma Theater is excited to announce Lee Minora in Residency in the latter half of its 2017-18 Season. A solo artist, comedian and current teaching artist at the Wilma, Minora will develop her second solo show White Feminist as a part of the three-month long residency. With White Feminist, Minora is exposing the ugly truth behind respectability politics, "leaning in', and self-serving feminist hypocrisy done all wrong. White Feminist will have its first public showing at the Wilma Theater as a part of the HotHouse Crush Series on March 24th, under the direction of Alice York, co-artistic director of Lightning Rod Special.

Theatre Exile to Present WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? at Plays and Players Theater

InterAct Theatre Company to Premiere DOWN PAST PASSYUNK, 4/4-27
InterAct Theatre Company brings to the stage the world premiere production of A. Zell Williams' Down Past Passyunk, inspired by the controversy stirred up by Philadelphia landmark Geno's Steaks. Pig Iron School Inaugural Class Graduates Today
The Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training (or APT), a two-year program designed to give performers a comprehensive immersion in the world of ensemble- devised and physical theatre, will graduate its first class of 15 students today, June 7, 2013. The graduation will be preceded by showings of student-created work on June 4-6 at Christ Church Neighborhood House for the Performing Arts (7:30 each night), which are free and open to the public.
