Latitude Festival Announces Final Line-Up

Orpheum's HALLORAN CENTRE Officially Opens with Ribbon Cutting, Dedication
Today at 2:00 PM the Memphis Development Foundation (MDF), which operates the Orpheum Theatre, formally dedicated the newest and largest capital project in its history: the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education. The ceremony included a ribbon cutting, flag presentation, dedication prayer, and reception. Event speakers included MDF Board Chairman Andy Taylor, Mayor AC Wharton, Jr., Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, and Orpheum President & CEO Pat Halloran. Mr. Taylor led the ceremony, and Dr. Scott Morris presided over the dedication.
Orpheum Theatre Sets Music Series at the Halloran Centre
With the completion of the new Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education the Orpheum Theatre is proud to introduce an annual music series. Beginning October 17th with Chester Thompson Trio, the 2015-2016 Music Series will feature a variety of musical artists that break boundaries and redefine the parameters of conventional genres.

2015-16 SOUTHERN CIRCUIT SERIES Now at Home at the Halloran Centre
The Orpheum Theatre's new Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education will become the new home of the Memphis stop on the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers. The series, hosted previously through Indie Memphis, will consist of six screenings beginning September 9th at 7:00 PM with I Will Dance and concluding in April of 2016.
Orpheum Welcomes Ron Jewell as VP of Centre Operations
The Memphis Development Foundation (MDF), which operates the historic Orpheum Theatre, announces that Ron Jewell, current Director of the Bartlett Performing Arts Center, will join the MDF staff as Vice-President of Operations at the forthcoming Centre for Performing Arts Education. The $14.5 million Centre is expected to formally open in August of this year.
Orpheum Theatre & Shelby County Schools Launch Kennedy Center Partnership
The Orpheum Theatre has announced its acceptance, in partnership with Shelby County Schools (SCS), into the John F. Kennedy Center's Partners in Education program. Formally accepted in April, The Orpheum and SCS initiated the program in Memphis with a week of teacher professional development July 7th through 11th.
