Alice Malakhov is thrilled to be a part of Gould’s Wall and to help tell the story of Canadian icon Glenn Gould. She is a 13-year-old Grade 8 student and an award-winning triple-threat singer, dancer and actor. Alice is trilingual, speaking English, French and Russian fluently.
She has been a member of the Canadian Children’s Opera Company (CCOC) for the past 5 years and has performed in many CCOC productions. She has also performed as the second spirit in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Canadian Opera Company, as well as a chorus member in Hansel and Gretel.
As a young opera enthusiast, Alice introduces classical opera to her peers by setting up opera and music writing workshops at her school. As a professional actor, Alice has worked on stage and screen. She’s appeared in film and television projects including CBC and Netflix’s Anne with an E, TFO’s Zik, and Lower Ossington Theatre’s Matilda.
Alice has performed solo recitals and appeared in singing competitions at Carnegie Hall, Roy Thomson Hall and Koerner Hall.
Alice thanks all her teachers for helping to develop her music and vocal skills, and her family for their unwavering support.
