Three Birds Theatre and The Shift Theatre introduce you to Australia’s first all-girl mechanics in their production of Garage Girls. The audience is invited to step back in time one hundred years ago to the roaring 20s and visit 88 Cotham Road, Kew in Melbourne’s, eastern suburbs.
New Federal Theatre Celebrates Women's History Month With Readings
On March 13 and 20, 2021 New York's New Federal Theatre (NFT) will present 'New Federal Theatre Celebrates Women's History Month,' a retrospective readings series in which significant plays from the '80s on generational issues in Black women's lives will be recreated by noted actors and directors. The readings will be free and accessible from NFT's website, https://www.newfederaltheatre.com. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
Alliance Theatre Announces Upcoming Production TWO ONE-ACT PLAYS BY PEARL CLEAGE
The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce its upcoming production TWO ONE-ACT PLAYS BY PEARL CLEAGE, featuring Hospice and Pointing at the Moon, performed back-to-back. Pearl Cleage is a beloved Atlanta author and playwright, perhaps best known for her novel What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day, an Oprah Book Club selection, and her play Blues for an Alabama Sky. Hospice was first performed in 1983 and was honored with five AUDELCO Awards for achievement Off Broadway; Pointing at the Moon is a world premiere. Performances are March 23 - April 15, 2018, at the Southwest Arts Center while the Alliance Theatre undergoes a complete renovation. Opening night is Thursday, March 29.

'The Music Man' is Meredith Willson's tribute to his home state, and one of the Playhouse's most-requested musicals.

Des Moines Playhouse Announces 2016 Dionysos Awards
Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse for the 2015-16 Dionysos Awards on Sunday, July 24. The Dionysos Awards celebrates the contributions of more than 1,700 individuals, giving 77,000 hours annually as actors and backstage and front-of-house volunteers. The evening will begin with a social event at 5:30 PM.
400 Students Across London to Exhibit Artwork in Grand Finale of the Jack Petchey Start Programme, June 27
Students from nine different schools across three London boroughs are preparing to exhibit the artworks they have been working on throughout this academic year, as part of the Jack Petchey Start Programme. The Jack Petchey Start Programme is in its second year and brings together 400 students from secondary schools in outer London suburbs. Students work with practicing artists for an entire year, taking part in multiple visits to the Saatchi Gallery, listening to Saatchi Gallery exhibiting artists talk about their work and engaging in creative workshops at the Gallery and in school.
