Principal Photography Begins on Robert Zemeckis' THE WITCHES
Principal photography has begun on “The Witches,” a fantastical adventure from Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis (“Forrest Gump”), starring Oscar winners Anne Hathaway (“Les Misérables,” “Ocean's 8”) and Octavia Spencer (“The Help,” “The Shape of Water”), Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci (“The Hunger Games” films, “The Lovely Bones”), and award-winning comedy legend Chris Rock. Newcomer Jahzir Kadeem Bruno (TV's “Atlanta”) also stars, alongside Codie-Lei Eastick.

THE FAVOURITE Leads Nominees for the London Critics' Circle Film Awards
The UK's leading film critics today announced the nominations for the 39th annual London Critics' Circle Film Awards presented by Dover Street Entertainment. Yorgos Lanthimos' black comedy The Favourite was out front with 10 nominations, including Film, Director, Screenwriter, Actress for Olivia Colman and Supporting Actress for Rachel Weisz. In addition, the film is nominated for British/Irish Film of the Year.

The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival kicked off on January 3rd with “Talking Pictures” screenings of award contenders If Beale Street Could Talk, Roma, and Bohemian Rhapsody. Regina King and director Barry Jenkins attended participated in a Q&A for If Beale Street Could Talk with the festival's Artistic Director Michael Lerman. Alfonso Cuaron was joined by stars Marina De Tavira and Yalitza Aparicio for the screening of Roma and all three participated in a Q&A with the festival's Director of Programming Lili Rodriguez. Rami Malek attended and participated in a Q&A for Bohemian Rhapsody with Deadline's Pete Hammond.
