BIO
Training: Fiorello H LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and Performing Arts in New York City and SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. She is a 2011 USA National Young Arts Foundation Level 1 Winner in Modern Dance. Theatre includes: Connie Wong in A Chorus Line (London Palladium, Japan and USA), ensemble/Two Ladies in Rufus Norris’s Cabaret (UK tour), Lambchops in Fame (UK tour), Associate Choreographer/swing for the Olivier Award-winning production of In the Heights (King’s Cross Theatre), Daisy in the McOnie Company’s Jekyll and Hyde (Old Vic), Sally in Broad Shadow (NT Dorfman Theatre), dance captain/ensemble for Strictly Ballroom (West Yorkshire Playhouse and Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto) the Broadway development workshops for Drew McOnie’s King Kong, and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie, scheduled to be released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures in 2020.

Review: BABIES A NEW (BORN) MUSICAL, The Other Palace
Real life is looming right after the end of Year 11. Entrusted with a robotic newborn, a group of students need to survive a week in their new roles as parents while their GCSEs get closer and closer. The school is trying to teach them responsibility and warn off any unwanted pregnancies - but the teens already have too much on their plates. The new arrivals, though only plastic infant simulators, blow up their routines: lies are uncovered, relationships shatter, and friendships blossom. The complicated inner lives of modern teenagers are dissected in a jolly musical romp that’s surprisingly touching underneath all the fun and games.

Rough poetry and arresting repetition guide the audience in a world of state-mandated violence, carried out not by the criminals but by the officers and staff who are meant to keep them safe. The fear, desperation, and frustration of those involved in the case are personified in voiceless figures ruled and restrained by the invisible force of music. It pushes them around and turns them into puppets; it slays them into zombie-like non-humans and makes them into the perpetrators themselves. A brilliant allegory.
