Royal Family Productions (Chris Henry, Artistic Director), a Times Square-based non-profit theatre company known for its innovative productions and development of new original work, is proud to kick off their season with Royal Family's Resident Choreographer/Creative Associate Lorna Ventura curating the FEMALE FORWARD FESTIVAL. GUN CONTROL the Musical Will Hold Reading
A new musical joining the ranks of works addressing what broadcaster Meredith Vieira calls 'even our most intractable problems' is set for a one-night staged reading Monday, October 22, 7:30pm, at the Theatre at St. John's, 81 Christopher St., New York City. Presented in association with the Provincetown Theater, 'Gun Control, the Musical' is a 2-act, 13-song show exploring one of America's most incendiary issues. The book, music and lyrics are the work of award-winning journalist Jim Brosseau.

BWW Review: The First Annual International Cabaret Festival's Hall of Fame Inductions Pack New York's Metropolitan Room
The brainchild of Metropolitan Room managing partner Bernie Furshpan, his General Manager Joseph Macchia, and Cabaret Scenes Magazine Publisher Peter Leavy, New York's first International Cabaret Festival (February 17-21) debuted Wednesday night at the Met Room with performances and inductions into the newly established Cabaret Hall of Fame (an actual location for Hall and its memorabilia to be determined at a later date). Clubs hosting this year's festival include The Metropolitan Room, Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, Feinstein's/54 Below, Iridium, Joe's Pub, and Stage 72 (formerly The Triad).

Broadway and Grammy-nominated singer/actress ALEXANDRA FOUCARD and composer/performer DAVID SISCO, whose works have premiered at Carnegie Hall, bring their cabaret COMES LOVE to The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, on Monday, October 5th at 9pm. The duo also brings their own diverse backgrounds as two singing artists to the mix in their eclectic cabaret of Jazz, Standards, Musical Theatre, Pop, Motown/R&B and Country - with surprising mash-ups.
