BIO

Alexander Loxton was born and raised in Birmingham, England and received his professional training at The Royal Ballet Upper School. During this time he frequently performed with The Royal Ballet Company, danced at Buckingham Palace and was a finalist at the Young British Dancer of the Year Competition.

At 19 he joined The Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and after dancing with the company for several years he began performing as a guest artist internationally. On returning to London he accepted a position with the male contemporary dance company BalletBoyz performing his premiere at "Fall for Dance Festival" in New York City.

In 2013 to 2014 he played Older Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot the Musical on the West End.

BILLY ELLIOT Welcomes New Billy From Tonight!

Today, 9 December 2013, 13 year old Mitchell Tobin from Florida, USA, will become the thirty-sixth boy and the eighth American to play Billy Elliot in the West End, having previously played the title role in the North American touring production. Billy Elliot the Musical is now in its ninth year at the Victoria Palace Theatre where it is currently booking to May 2015. Having now been seen by nearly 9.5 million people worldwide,Billy Elliot the Musical has been the recipient of over 80 major international awards.

Today, 13 November 2013, 11 year old Bradley Perret from Juan les Pins, France will become the thirty-fifth boy to play Billy Elliot in the West End and the first French-born boy to play the title role. Anna-Jane Casey And Howard Crossley Join New Cast Of BILLY ELLIOT, From May 2013

From 13 May 2013 Anna-Jane Casey will join the West End cast of Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre to play Billy's dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson. Also joining the cast are Kevin Wathen as Billy's brother, Tony, Howard Crossley as George and Alexander Loxton as Older Billy.
