BIO

Alexa Niziak is an actor, singer, and dancer who has performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in film and television. At age 11, Alexa made her Broadway debut in the Tony-nominated A Christmas Story the Musical. In other Broadway performances Alexa played one of the "no-neck monsters" in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and performed for eighteen-months in the Tony award-winning show Matilda the Musical.



You can see Alexa as Margie in Mr. Harrigan's Phone, streaming on Netflix on October 5th! Based on the novella by Stephen King, Mr. Harrigan's Phone is produced by Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy. The film is written and directed by John Lee Hancock.

Alexa has also performed in three Off-Broadway plays, receiving rave reviews from the New York Times for her leading role in the world premiere of The Thing With Feathers. In addition to securing two IRNE nominations, Alexa also performed in two Broadway national tours, playing the role of Jane Banks in Disney’s Mary Poppins and reprising her role at Madison Square Garden in A Christmas Story the Musical. At age 11, Alexa sang a duet with Kelli O’Hara in Far From Heaven at The Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Alexa’s foray into television began in Peter Farrelly's NBC Thanksgiving Showdown commercial. She then represented A Christmas Story the Musical at the 67th Annual Tony Awards and performed alongside Neil Patrick Harris in one of television’s most highly rated opening numbers. Alexa has appeared in episodes of Orange is the New Black (Netflix), The Sinner (USA), Evil (CBS), Love Life (HBO), and FBI (CBS). She can also be seen in Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin on Paramount+, directed by William Eubank. Alexa also performed the lead in two award-winning independent films, the most recent of which won the 2019 Sarasota Independent Vision Jury Prize.

Alexa is classically trained in ballet, has performed with the New York City Ballet, and continues to train in a variety of dance at Broadway Dance Center. Alexa receives musical instruction in voice and plays both beginner piano and guitar. She is proficient in American Sign Language and in Irish, Southern, and British dialects. Alexa looks forward to being part of another great musical, play, film, or television series.

THE LUCKY STAR at 59E59 Theatres Enters Final Weeks of Performances

The Lucky Star, produced by Douglas Denoff & Beth Goldsmith, The Directors Company, and 59E59 Theaters will conclude its limited engagement on Sunday, June 12 as originally planned. The production began previews on April 26, 2022, and opened May 5, 2022 in Theatre A.
