The Hit Musical, MIRACLE Announces Final Weeks And Receives Jeff Awards Nomination
The hit Chicago musical set against the backdrop of the Chicago Cubs 2016 championship season, MIRACLE, is announcing its final weeks, closing on Sunday, September 29. In its successful five month run, the musical was seen by over 30,000 people including Chicago Cubs players David Ross, Willson Contreras, Kerry Wood, Ryan Dempster and Ryne Sandberg, as well as numerous local celebrities including Jim Belushi, Allison Victoria of HGTV, Wayne Messmer, Tom Ricketts, Tom Dreesen and many more who lauded the production. Today, William Marovitz and Arny Granat, co-producers of the production, are thrilled to announce that MIRACLE has been nominated for a 2019 Equity Jeff Award in the a?oeNew Work- Musicala?? category. Now playing at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted, MIRACLE is providing Chicago Cubs fans and theatregoers a final opportunity to relive the Chicago Cubs 2016 World Series win.

In honor of the 108 years it took the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series, MIRACLE, the hit Chicago musical set against the backdrop of the Chicago Cubs 2016 championship season, is thrilled to celebrate its 108th performance on Friday, August 30th with a special event at the Royal George Theatre (1641 N. Halsted) beginning at 7:15 p.m. The scheduled performance of the production will follow at 8 p.m.
ATCA Names Finalists For Francesca Primus Prize
The American Theatre Critics Association (ATCA) has selected three finalists for the Francesca Primus Prize, sponsored by ATCA and the Francesca Ronnie Primus Foundation. The award, presented annually since 1997, recognizes the best work by an emerging woman playwright who has not yet achieved national prominence.
HINTER Extends Through March 17
With its original run almost sold out, Steep Theatre has added eight more performances of Calamity West's Hinter. Called 'taut, complex and a bloody good time" by Alex Huntsberger of TimeOut Chicago, this thrilling new play has enthralled audiences and critics alike. Hinter will run through Saturday, March 17.
