Alecia Evans a Lyric Coloratura Soprano, has performed regionally and nationally throughout the United States. A graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, Ms. Evans won the talent competition in the Miss North Carolina Pageant and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Opera at the San Francisco Conservatory. Her operatic roles in California included Marie in The Bartered Bride, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Laetitia in Old Maid in the Thief, and Blonde in The Abduction From the Seraglio.
She was a first place soloist with The San Francisco Chamber Singers at the Newport Music Festival, and has received numerous awards for her concert work. Her musical theater roles include, Julie in Carousel, Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance
and Lizzie in 110 In the Shade. She showcased the role of Vi in Footloose on Broadway and for The First National Tour, and understudied Guenevere in the National Tour of Camelot. As anaccomplished cabaret singer in New York City she has presented shows at Judy’s, Don’t Tell Mama, and The Algonquin. Ms. Evans performed regularly for the San Jose Sharks, the Oakland A’s, the San Francisco Giants and the Sacramento Surge where she was a celebrated singer of the National Anthem. She also worked for ten years as a Professional Conductor for the internationally renowned Piedmont Choirs, a professional Children's Choir in the San Francisco
Bay area and was a noted cabaret artist at The Venetian Room in San Francisco.
Recently Ms. Evans performed the role of Grace Farrell in Hartford’s production of Annie where she had the privilege of performing with her daughter Eva. She lives in Warren, Ct and continues to perform regularly as a soloist in NYC and beyond.
