BIO
ALAN SCHMUCKLER wrote music, lyrics and score, and served as music producer, for Showtime series Kidding, where his work was performed by Ariana Grande, Dick Van Dyke, Jim Carrey, Kesha, and more.
His songs and music production will be heard in Netflix’s upcoming My Little Pony 2 animated feature film, co-produced with Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Vanessa Carlton, many others) and frequent collaborator Michael Mahler.
He served as music producer for LEGO Store: The Musical, co-written with Mahler.
Alan is the winner of the prestigious Kleban Prize in Musical Theatre, and a Webby Award for sound design and original music, for his podcast musical Wait Wait Don’t Kill Me, and the Richard Rodgers Award for his new stage musical in development The Monster, an adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
His current collaborators include Disney legend Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin), Tony-winning bookwriters Bob Martin (The Prom) and Itamar Moses (The Band’s Visit) and producer Kevin McCollum (Rent), and more.
