BURLINGTON, VT – Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO), Vermont's only statewide symphony orchestra, announced this week during a choral concert in Burlington, Vermont that Robert De Cormier has been honored as Conductor Emeritus, Vermont Symphony Orchestra Chorus. De Cormier held the position of choral conductor for twenty years having retired in 2014.

Two members of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra Governing Board of Directors retired following completion of the maximum number of years permitted and were recognized for their service at the recent VSO Association Annual Meeting held at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. Brian Harwood of Waterbury and Richard Schneider of Northfield were honored for twelve years of outstanding service each. Harwood stepped down as Chair for the 2011-2013 seasons.
