BIO

Al is from Wichita, KS and has loved performing from an early age. He attended Oklahoma City University before moving to NYC. You can Al perform around town in musicals, cabarets, or with his sketch comedy group No Filters, Please. Al is a classicaly trained singer looking for work in theatre, commercial and film. He currently works as a live-in nanny on the upper west side with an amazing family. He has experience teaching music, working with butterflys, selling cheese and making coffee. He enjoys museums, meditation, making spotify playlists and meeting new people.

Robert Cuccioli and Glory Crampton reunited at a special gathering for the official release of the new cast recording of the York Theatre Company production of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, and Sherman Yellen's musical Rothschild & Sons last night, July 25, at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The event featured appearances by cast members Mr. Cuccioli and Ms. Crampton, along with Sheldon Harnick, Sherman Yellen, Jeffrey B. Moss, and James Morgan, York's Producing Artistic Director. The 13th Street Repertory Theater will present a teach-in on the history of gay musical theater, and gay songs in pop music, following the performances next Sunday (April 26th) at 2 pm and 7 pm of its current hit musical 'Mad About the Boy.' The presentation will be moderated by ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa (creator of 'Mad About the Boy'), and will feature members of the cast, joined by a special surprise guest.
Exclusive: 13th Street Theater to Celebrate Bessie Smith This Weekend

The 13th Street Repertory Theater will honor the woman widely considered to be the world's greatest blues singer by making Sunday, April 19th, 'Bessie Smith Day.' The theater will be offering free admission to its new hit show, 'Mad About the Boy' (which includes a tribute to Smith) to anyone who can sing a chorus of a song recorded by Smith. ASCAP award-winning playwright/director Chip Deffaa, who's created and produced 'Mad About the Boy,' will also award prizes to those who do the best job of singing Smith's songs. Deffaa--who profiled Smith in the book 'Harlem Speaks: A Living History of the Harlem Renaissance' (Sourcebooks, Inc.) and has lectured on her (most recently at the University of Idaho)--will be the judge, assisted by members of his theater company.

Three Act Theatre announces its production of Chaundria & The Giant. This new musical written by Janine Robledo and Micah Joel will get its world premiere workshop production this winter. Directed by Eric Mark Olson, Co-Music Directed by Zachary Orts & Andrew David Sotomayor, Choreographed by Krista Saab, and featuring a talented cast of students & professionals led by Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld* and Adrian Rifat, the musical follows a giant trying to become a doctor and a hypochondriac/agoraphobic princess trying to live a solitary life. The two must wrestle with their inner (and outer) demons that stand in the way of their dreams while helping a medieval town battle the Black Plague. Chaundria & The Giant will have performances at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (248 West 60th Street) on February 20th and 21st (with performances at 7pm both evenings.)
