ANNIE GET YOUR GUN Extends at Bay Street Theater
Bay Street Theater has announced that Irving Berlin's ANNIE GET YOUR GUN opened to an enthusiastic audience on August 3. Due to popular demand, the show will be extended and will now run through September 1. The show is one of the most beloved musicals of Broadway's Golden Age with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, book by Dorothy and Herbert Fields and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Bay Street Theater's Frost/Nixon). Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts announces the success of the 25th Annual Summer Gala, celebrating Bay Street's Silver Anniversary, which took place in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 9, 2016 to benefit Bay Street's theatrical, educational and community programs. The evening included a special performance of scenes from productions from the past 25 years directed by Will Pomerantz, as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, Live 'Fantasy Auction,' dinner and dancing. Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz also announced a new partnership with Jeffrey Seller, producer of Hamilton. Bay Street Theater will produce the new musical, The Man in the Ceiling by Jules Feiffer and Andrew Lippa, directed by Jeffrey Seller as part of the 2017 Mainstage Season.

Bay Street Theater's World Premiere of MY LIFE IS A MUSICAL opened last night and runs through August 31. This musical comedy with book, music and lyrics by Adam Overett, is directed and choreographed by Marlo Hunter. Presented in association with Martin Platt, David Elliott, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, Joan Raffe& Jhett Tolentino, and Patrick Blake, with additional support from the Joseph Stein Fund for new musicals and Adriane and Jerry Cohen. Bay Street's Third Annual Honors Dinner Set for 5/12
Bay Street Theatre has announced Curtain Up!, Bay Street's 3rd Annual Spring Benefit honoring Bonnie Comley and Stewart Lane, and Pia and Jimmy Zankel at Joe's Pub in New York City on May 12. The theater's third honors event will be hosted by Bay Street's new Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz, a leading voice of the next generation of American theater and an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been seen on and off Broadway, across the United States, in Great Britain, and Asia.
