Adam Pascal

Adam Pascal made his Broadway debut as Roger Davis in the original production of Rent (1996), earning Tony, Theater World, and Obie Award recognition. He later reprised the role in the original London production, on Broadway (2007), the Broadway national tour (2009–2010), and the 2005 film adaptation. He starred as Radames in Aida (2000–2004), played the Emcee in Cabaret, and appeared in concert productions of Chess (2003, 2008) and Hair (2004). His later Broadway credits include Memphis (2011–2012), Chicago (2013), Something Rotten! (2016–2017), and Pretty Woman: The Musical (2019; U.S. national tour, 2021–2022). More recently, he appeared as Ryuk in Death Note: The Musical (2023), directed Rent (2023), joined the Off-Broadway cast of Drag: The Musical (2024), and is scheduled to star as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar (2026).

Alongside his stage career, Pascal has maintained a music career, releasing the solo albums Model Prisoner (2000) and Civilian (2004), and the collaborative album Blinding Light (2008) with Larry Edoff. He also contributed recordings to Broadway Cares: Home for the Holidays (2001), the film Noel (2004), and Listen (2009). In 2006, he formed the band Me and Larry (Edoff), touring and performing original music and Broadway arrangements.

Pascal made his film debut in SLC Punk! (1999) and later appeared in School of Rock (2003), Temptation (2004), Rent (2005), Falling Star (2008), Wild About Harry (2009), Punk's Dead (2015), and Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival (2015).

His television credits include a guest appearance on Cold Case (2006) and narration and vocals for The Backyardigans.


He will direct a production of Dear Evan Hansen in Massachusetts, as well as The Last Five Years in Pleasantville.
