Comedian and solo performer Adam Strauss continues at The Marsh San Francisco with a revised and extended run of his newest show Something Is Wrong with Adam Strauss. Also, while in the Bay Area, he will perform his renowned show, The Mushroom Cure,inspired by a scientific study showing that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Adam Strauss's spontaneous comedic show Adam Strauss Is Not Unhappy comes to The Marsh San Francisco for a special one-night-only performance on December 16. The actor/playwright describes Adam Strauss Is Not Unhappy as a mostly unscripted, entirely unguarded exploration of heartbreak, addiction, obsession, loneliness, and other hilarious things.
The Marsh Berkeley Extends Two Works By Adam Strauss Through July 15
Due to popular demand, The Marsh Berkeley has extended Adam Strauss' hit solo show, The Mushroom Cure, performing Friday nights (June 17–July 15). It will run in repertory with his spontaneous comedic solo show, Adam Strauss is Not Unhappy, which has also been extended, with performances on Saturday nights (June 11–July 9).

Adam Strauss’s hit solo show, The Mushroom Cure, will return to The Marsh Berkeley for a limited run, performing Friday nights (April 8 – May 27). It will run in repertory with his spontaneous comedic show, Adam Strauss is Not Unhappy, performing Saturdays (April 9 – May 21). The Mushroom Cure was inspired by a scientific study showing that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which launched Strauss on a program of vigilante psychopharmacology.
THE MUSHROOM CURE Returns To The Marsh SF and Berkeley
Adam Strauss' 2017 hit, The Mushroom Cure, will return to The Marsh San Francisco for a limited run before transferring to The Marsh Berkeley. Inspired by a scientific study that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Strauss embarked on a program of vigilante psychopharmacology. The true tale of Strauss' hilarious, harrowing, and heartrending attempts to treat his debilitating OCD with psychedelics was an Off-Broadway hit, where it was named Critics' Pick by Time Out New York and hailed by The New York Times as 'mining a great deal of laughter from disabling pain' before moving to San Francisco for an extended run. It then moved to Chicago, where the Chicago Tribune praised it as 'arrestingly honest and howlingly funny,' awarding it a 3.5 (out of 4) stars. The Mushroom Cure will be presented March 21 - April 11 with performances at 8:30pm Saturdays at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia St., San Francisco. For the second half of the show's Bay Area run, The Mushroom Cure will be presented April 18 - May 16 with performances at 8:30pm Saturdays at The Marsh Berkeley, 2120 Allston Way, Berkeley.
