Previews: SHOWSTOPPERS at Straz Center
Themed 'totally tubular,' the 80s and 90s musical revue, Showstoppers, debuting at Straz Center on August 5 and 6, highlights a time when Donkey Kong and PacMan ruled, cell phones were huge, and women's hair was even bigger. Showstoppers features 36 Patel Conservatory students ages 13-18 and behind-the-scenes, three college technical apprentice interns.

THE PITCHFORKS to Receive Reading at Loading Dock Theatre
Loading Dock Theatre will produce a reading of the new horror play, The Pitchforks by Andrew Kramer, on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28 at 5pm as a special Halloween offering of The Forklift Reading Series at their space at 170 Tillary St.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC Tickets On Sale February 16 in Chicago
Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce individual tickets for a brand new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, produced by NETworks Presentations, will go on sale February 16. THE SOUND OF MUSIC will play Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement, April 10 - April 15, 2018, as part of a North American tour.

Networks Presentations LLC presents The Sound of Music, featuring music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The musical was adapted into an Academy Award winning film in 1965 starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. It is this beloved film version that is firmly and fondly remembered by many. Several songs from the musical have become familiar standards, including 'Edelweiss,' 'My Favorite Things,' 'Climb Every Mountain,' Do-Re-Mi' and the title song. The Sound of Music understandably remains one of America's favorite family musicals.
VIDEO: Jimmy Nederlander Awards Nominee Adam Ross Releases Original Music Video MEDICINE
Singer/Songwriter/Performer Adam Ross recently dropped his debut music video for an original song titled 'MEDICINE'. The song is reminiscent of an 80's pop track, with music theater influence.The video itself is a rocky horroresque short film that shares a tale on acceptance of oneself through the eyes of an experiment put on display. In the video, Adam as the 'experiment' in a feud between the doctor, proposes the ideals of society and how it can contort one's unique spirit.
