Review: Beth Leavel is Next Level Sondheim at 54 Below
Beth Leavel, known best for her comedic talents, proved that she's up there with the best at singing Sondheim at her 54 Below show on 10/25 and 10/26. Ms Leavel is very deft at playing multiple emotions at the same time, which matches the trademark ambivalence of all of Sondheim’s best lyrics.

Review: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Ogunquit Playhouse
This is one of those offbeat musicals that entertains you with its unusual charm, catchy tunes, and cartoon-like characters. With the plot line featuring a talking plant that feeds only on human blood, this is not your grandmother’s kind of musical. (Unless your grandmother regularly attends the wide variety of shows performed at the Ogunquit Playhouse.)

Review: The Muny Honors Tradition with a Classic Performance of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
What did our critic think of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF at The Muny? What can be said about an absolutely perfect production of one of the most well written musicals of all time? Hurling superlatives seems cliché but there is nothing about The Muny’s latest offering of the classic FIDDLER ON THE ROOF that can be criticized. From the opening when the town’s residents circle to share their “Traditions,” to their closing moments mourning the loss of their community “Anatevka,” this production makes you laugh and cry, and laugh and cry repeatedly. It is emotion-packed storytelling at its finest with superb direction, divine choreography, outstanding orchestral accompaniment, pristine sound, and a dream cast acting and singing at the top of their game. The costume, set, video, and lighting design are picture perfect.
