BIO

Adam Cates is a New York based director, choreographer, and writer. Credits include musicals, plays and operas for Hartford Stage, The Santa Fe Opera, TUTS, Gulfshore Playhouse, Theatre Aspen, Arkansas Rep, Music Theatre Wichita, Bard Music Festival, Anchorage Opera, Memphis Playhouse on the Square, NYMF, The Juilliard Opera, Feinstein's/54 Below, and others. Broadway credits include A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder and Anastasia (associate choreographer). He teaches on the faculty of Pace University, guest faculties of Broadway Dance Center and Steps in NYC and is author of The Business of Show. Instagram: @adamcnyc
