The Latinx Theatre Commons Announces The Diane Rodriguez Teatrista Award
The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) today shared the creation and inaugural recipient of The Diane Rodriguez Teatrista Award, 'The Diane.' It is the LTC's first award dedicated to an individual working in the theatre field who is committed to increasing Latinx representation across disciplines. With this award, the LTC aims to continue the legacy of Diane Rodriguez (1951-2020), an award-winning, multi-hyphenate theatre artist who tirelessly advocated for other artists and opened doors for future leaders in the field.
2021 Segal Center Awards For Civic Engagement In The Arts Announced
Since the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic, The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has presented a series of public talks during The Time of Corona with over 300 artists and institutions from over 50 countries. The aim of the initiatives presented were to introduce artistic projects and concepts that develop a new perspective on social and institutional developments in the field of art, especially performance art.

Anthony Rodriguez to Participate in 2014 NALAC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures- NALAC announced today the names of the participants for their 14th Annual NALAC Leadership Institute that will take place July 14-19, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. The Leadership Institute convenes Latino arts leaders for an intensive, one-week training in nonprofit arts management and leadership development. Anthony Rodriguez is one of the twenty-eight participants that will be part of the 2014 NALAC Leadership Institute.

After touring through ten states and three countries over the past year, Teatro Luna is returning home with their sizzling stories of love in the digital age at their new home in downtown Chicago, Instituto Cervantes! Teatro Luna is America's only Pan-Latina theatre company producing a full season of new and original work. The Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, Inc., located at 31 W. Ohio, promotes cultural activities and events related to the Spanish culture and language together with other organizations and institutions from around the Chicago area, Latin America and Spain. Their mission is carried out by experts from Spain and the Spanish speaking world, and Teatro Luna is the first theatre company to be in residence.
