Do you like a good ghost story, Dear Readers? I do. I love it when a creepy tale can make my flesh crawl and jump out of my seat. But there are so few creepy tales on stage. Well, enter Lucas Hnath’s “The Thin Place” currently performing at ACT. Not only is this a truly terrifying tale but it’s from one of the hottest new playwrights around today, author of “Dana H” and “A Dolls House, Part 2”. Add into that a stellar cast and you have a frightfully fun evening on your hands.
Ovalhouse Announces its Demolition Season 2019

For the final season in their Kennington home, Ovalhouse's Demolition Party Season will see collaboration between engineers and companies to allow artists dismantle parts of the building as part of their creative process. After 80 years as a community venue and 55 years as a professional theatre, Ovalhouse will relocate to Brixton, opening a brand new, purpose-built theatre in spring 2021.

Guests will have the opportunity to see short selections from five projects, and meet the creative artists spearheading them. The audience in attendance will break into small groups and tour each project in various creative spaces in the state-of-the-art Logan Center.

Raven Theatre Announces Cast of William Inge's A LOSS OF ROSES

Michael Menendian, Producing Artistic Director of Raven Theatre, has announced casting for A Loss of Roses, the infrequently produced drama by William Inge that premiered on Broadway in 1959 and launched the career of a young Warren Beatty. Raven's production will be the play's first professional staging in the Chicago area since early 1999. The Raven production will run on the company's West Stage from February 17 to April 2, 2016 under the direction of Raven Associate Artistic Director Cody Estle.

Profiles Theatre announces an extension for its 20th anniversary production of The Cryptogram by David Mamet, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The critically-acclaimed production opened at Profiles on October 2, 2014 and will extend for an additional three weeks through December 6, 2014. Original cast members Abigail Boucher, Darrell W. Cox and Aaron Lamm will continue their roles. Performances are held at The Alley Stage, 4147 N. Broadway.
