Aadya Bedi made her debut in Dev Benegal's 1999 Indian film Split Wide Open. Her second movie came after a gap of eleven years. During her absence from Bollywood, Bedi was working in theater and in American television.

This season, writers Aeneas Sagar Hemphill, Divya Mangwani, Marcus Scott and Mallory Jane Weiss are developing works in response to prompts from the revolutionary activist humanitarian writings and precepts of George Bernard Shaw.

Since 2011, Two River Theater has introduced new voices from across the country to their annual Crossing Borders (Cruzano Fronteras) Festival of new plays by Latinx playwrights. This year’s playwrights explore stories about family history, computer science, teens navigating the “new normal”, and a makeshift family arriving at the cusp of the 22nd century.

An international tour de force, Scorched arrives in the U.S. having received more than 100 productions worldwide. It has been translated into a dozen languages and is currently being adapted into a feature film.
