Imogen Heap Receives Honorary Doctorate in Valencia, Spain
Berklee President Roger H. Brown presented an honorary Doctor of Music degree yesterday to acclaimed recording artist Imogen Heap during the commencement ceremony for the master's degree programs at Berklee's campus in Valencia, Spain. In advance of the ceremony, graduate students prepared and performed a medley of her music in her honor at the commencement concert, held at l'Hemisfèric on Saturday.

Berklee President Roger H. Brown will present three-time Tony and Grammy-Award winning Alex Lacamoire (B.M. '95,), award-winning actor and 10-time Grammy-Award winning musician Justin Timberlake, and five-time Grammy-Award winning Missy Elliott with honorary Doctor of Music degrees at Berklee College of Music's commencement ceremony, Saturday, May 11, at the 7,000-seat Agganis Arena at Boston University.
My City, My Song Family Concerts On January 19 Introduce Children To Music From Around The World
On Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., three vibrant New York City-based artists will perform in Zankel Hall as part of My City, My Song, an interactive Family Concert celebrating music from around the world. The performance features Greek folk from Magda Giannikou, Malian traditional music from Yacouba Sissoko, and Indian classical music from Falu Shah. Free pre-concert activities are offered one hour prior to each performance, preparing parents and children to sing and dance along with the artists.
Chi Phil Chamber Players Bring Pop Fun To Classical Music
This March, the Chi Phil Chamber Players give pop hits a classical twist in Kings, Queens and Rebels. With arrangements by Chicago Philharmonic member Benton Wedge, this concert invites audiences to join Westeros royalty with the Game of Thrones theme, Star Wars rebels with the ominous Imperial March, and the game show king Slumdog Millionaire in Jai Ho (made famous by the Pussycat Dolls).

Falu's Bazaar is a new vibrant and diverse album of Indian children's music from New York based Falu, an international artist known for her unique blending of modern and classical stylings in her Bollywood Orchestra shows.
