Lifetime Announces Winter 2019 Movie Slate
Mark your calendars as Lifetime presents an all-star slate of biopics featuring remarkable women with incredible stories - Nellie Bly, Victoria Gotti and Olivia Newton-John - along with two new intense thrillers inspired by true stories for its winter 2019 movie slate. Headlined by Christina Ricci, Judith Light, Marcia Gay Harden, Kellie Martin, Victoria Gotti and Delta Goodrem, Lifetime will feature five weeks of premieres every Saturday at 8pm PT/ET, beginning January 19.
Lifetime Greenlights Two New Original Movies
Lifetime has greenlit two new original movies for 2019, Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter and a remake of the cult-classic, Death of a Cheerleader. Victoria Gotti: My Father's Daughter is co-written, narrated and executive produced by Gotti herself. Chelsea Frei (Sideswiped) takes the title role while Maurice Benard (General Hospital) stars as mob boss, John Gotti. Death of a Cheerleader features original star Emmy-nominee Kellie Martin (Haley Dean Mysteries) returning for the updated movie, inspired by the shocking murder of a popular cheerleader by a classmate. Aubrey Peeples (Nashville) and Sarah Dugdale (The Bad Seed) also star.

Fasten your seatbelts for 'Becky's New Car, ' a wild ride along the road of love, fidelity and second chances, opening Today February10th at the Farmington Players Barn in Farmington Hills. It's part quirky comedy and part heartwarming drama. When the married Becky Foster meets a millionaire widower Walter Flood at a car dealership, they begin an unlikely friendship, and the audience gets a chance to ride shotgun in a way most plays wouldn't dare. THAT METAL SHOW to Return for Season 12 on VH1, 6/1
It's time to get metaled up. VH1 Classic's centerpiece in original programming, 'That Metal Show' is returning for its 12th season. The acclaimed hard rock and heavy metal talk show hosted by Eddie Trunk , Don Jamieson , and Jim Florentine kicks off the latest season on Saturday, June 1st at 11:00PM ET/PT. 'That Metal Show' is back with fan-favorite segments like 'Stump The Trunk' and 'The Vault', but will also feature some new additions this season: 'Metal Modem' features an online video chat with the biggest names in metal and hard rock from the far reaches of the globe, 'Take It Or Leave It' where the hosts discuss an array of current topics and share their overly biased opinions, and many other surprise segments this season. Also returning this year is the 'Guest Musician' where a legendary guitarist or drummer performs as a one-man house band throughout the show. NYC & LA Theater HIKOBAE Collaboration Honors Sacrifice of 3/11 & 9/11 First Responders, Beg. Today
A new production of Hikobae, a play about the medical staff who risked their lives following the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters that struck Japan on March 11, 2011 will premiere in Los Angeles tonight, March 30th & the 31st and New York on April 5th & 6th. Hikobae honors the first responders and those who lost their lives in the disaster. The significance of remembering the victims and sacrifices of the first responders is particularly relevant two years following the events of 3/11.
