Matt Loehr has been a professional musical theatre performer for the past 25 years. He made his Broadway debut in the year 2000 as a replacement in the cast of the dance retrospective, Fosse. A few months later, he landed one of the most thrilling jobs of his career as a member of the ensemble in the original company of The Producers getting to sing and dance as characters that ranged from an Irish cop to an acrobatic Little Old Lady. Since then Matt has been in seven other Broadway shows- Movin’ Out, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, Promises, Promises, Elf the Musical, Evita, and The Book of Mormon playing the tap dancing, “Turn it Off” Mormon Mission leader in Uganda, Elder McKinley. Matt was last seen on stage touring the country as Don Kirshner in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. In addition to Broadway and National Tours, Matt has performed extensively in premiere regional theatres around the country getting to play such roles as Bobby Child in Crazy For You, Bill Snibson in Me & My Girl, Harold Hill in The Music Man, and both Don Lockwood and Cosmo Brown in two different productions of Singin’ in the Rain. Matt is also a passionate teacher, director, and choreographer and has spent time as a faculty member and guest artist at the prestigious University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
