The Newark Downtown District is the vibrant setting for a free community concert celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Newark Downtown District (NDD) on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Presented in partnership with the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), this special event features live music by The Commodores and Eric Benet, soul and R&B hits with DJ Felix Hernandez, and appearances by radio personalities Shaila Scott (WBLS 107.5 FM) and DJ Wallah (HOT 97) as co-hosts.'What better way to celebrate 20 years in Downtown Newark than to jam out with the entire community?" said Anthony McMillan, Chief Executive Officer of the Newark Downtown District. Third Annual STREET GAMES Brought The '60s & '70s Back
The Parks Department hosted the third annual Street Games festival at Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem on Saturday. Each year, Parks kicks it old school with some classic pavement games. Live music, dance performances and stickball were among the many activities that entertained street gamers of all ages on this spring day of timeless New York fun.

Radio Stations Raise Over $500,000 for HUNGERTHON
On Nov. 21-24, radio stations banded together to raise funds and awareness for WHY (World Hunger Year) during its annual Hungerthon. As of Nov. 25, $535,198 was raised to help WHY fight hunger and poverty in the U.S. at a time when hunger is dramatically on the rise.
