CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, & JULIET, and More Set For Birmingham Hippodrome's New Season
Birmingham Hippodrome has announced a line-up of new productions including brand-new festive family musical The Jingleclaw, the first new musical to be produced by the Hippodrome. A stellar line up of West End and Broadway smash-hit musicals including & Juliet, Chitty Chitty Bang and Only Fools and Horses – The Musical will also come to the theatre in 2025.
Paines Plough Reveals 2023 Plans
This Summer Paines Plough's portable pop-up theatre venue Roundabout will return to Summerhall at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Nathan Queeley-Dennis Wins Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting
The debut play by Nathan Queeley-Dennis has won overall 2022 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. The Birmingham-born actor takes home £16k prize for first play Bullring Techno Makeout Jamz, ‘a joyful galloping hymn to Black friendship and love and tender masculinity’.

Paines Plough have announced a limited digital release for their family show REALLY BIG AND REALLY LOUD, written by Phoebe Eclair-Powell and directed by Paines Plough’s Joint Artistic Director Katie Posner. Kiln Theatre's Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham announces the full company for Chinonyerem Odimba's Black Love. Black Love launches the theatre's 2022 season, transforming the venue into the round. With Book and Lyrics by Chinonyerem Odimba, Music by Ben and Max Ringham, the production opens on 1 April with previews from 28 March and runs until 23 April, following a successful tour as part of Paines Plough's Roundabout season last year.

National Theatre Production of A TASTE OF HONEY Opens in the West End This Week
Bijan Sheibani's (Barber Shop Chronicles, The Arrival) production of A Taste of Honey returns to the West End for the first time in 60 years this week, opening on Thursday at Trafalgar Studios. The remarkable taboo-breaking 1950s play written by Shelagh Delaney when she was just 19 will play a limited 12-week run in a co-production with Trafalgar Theatre Productions, with a press night on Monday 9 December.
