GET YOUR KICKS IN PS '66!
The hit jukebox musical comedy returns to Palm Springs' Revolution Stage Company with new performances every Friday and Sunday for 12 consecutive weekends starting January 19. Extra performances on Saturdays February 17, February 24 and March 30. The pop hits of the 1960s come to life as a Wisconsin widow is transformed from frump to fabulous when she finds herself in an exciting new world in 1966 Palm Springs.
Written and directed by Mark Christopher, best known for the hit movie “54” starring Salma Hayek, Ryan Phillippe and Mike Myers, “Mid-Century Moderns” is the entertaining and comedic musical adventure of Maryann Popecky, who dreams of moving West…to become a secretary! But when her car breaks down in the shadow of Mt. San Jacinto, it seems that the fates have something else in store. She finds freedom from the ghost of her late husband, Ernie, and from all the old ways that have been holding her down…and she just might find love, but on her own mid-century terms.
Revolution Stage Company is at 611 S. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA.
