Theatre 29 proudly announces primary casting for the finale production of the 2018 theatrical season, "Annie". Helmed by the team of multi award-winning Artistic & Musical Director Kathryn Ferguson and Choreographers Scott Clinkscales & Lisa Goldberg, the world's most famous musical will play weekends beginning November 23 through December 16th at the Theatre at 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.

"With equal measures of determination and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy."

In the title role of Annie is Theatre 29 mainstage newcomer Carly Bateman. Playing the chrome-domed billionaire Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks is multi-award-winning actor Charles Harvey. As his long-time secretary and business companion, Grace Farrell, is Cindy Ross. In the role of the diabolically alcoholic Miss Agatha Hannigan is Char Childs, who with her no-good brother Daniel "Rooster" Hannigan, played by Chris Fleischman and his floozy-of-the-week Lily St Regis (Katie Fleischman), concoct a scheme to bilk Warbucks out of $50 grand and dash Annie hopes of a real family.

The Orphans of the New York City Girl's Orphanage consist of the pessimistic Duffy, played by Jocelyn Gonzalez, quiet July, played by Alyssa Sahagun, tough Pepper, played by Jessica David, whinny Tessie, played by Haylie Rodriguez, Kate, the second to smallest, played by Katelyn Coleman, and Molly, the youngest, played by Evelyn Gonzalez.

Supporting the leads and playing a variety of characters is Dave Jessup, taking on the role of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Kevin Myers playing the dual role of radio personality Bert Healy and the somber butler Drake and Kegan Longuevan as the Broadway Star-to-be. The cast rounds out with Grace Rodriguez, Leigh-Ann Crummett, Cathy Inscore, Kelly Ames, McKenna Saneshale, Anna Carnes, Cruz Jimenez, Marissa Pennington, Tyler Bateman, Liam Keeran & Bobby Ames

Director Kathryn Ferguson says, "This is a wonderful way to ring in the holiday season and infuse some muchneeded positivity and hope. Even when things are darkest, there sun will always rise up tomorrow! ".
