The Emerald Cup Announces Lineup for December in Santa Rosa

Every year The Emerald Cup adds a little more to the premiere outdoor organic medicinal cannabis competition at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. This year the event will be held from December 10th to 11th, and will include a new award - Regenerative Cannabis Award, activists and artists Alex and Allyson Grey, Damian Marley pre-party on Friday, December 9th and much more!

The Emerald Cup is excited to announce the newly added Regenerative Cannabis Award, and this year the festival is introducing the new award as an honorary award. However, they've laid out a three year plan to implement the changes required for the award's application process. Adding the regenerative process to organic farming practices will positively transform and revolutionize the festival's competition.

For Tim Blake, founder of The Emerald Cup, "It's not just about being organic anymore. Regenerative agriculture is exciting. Gone are the days, of stripping and tilling the soil to start over. Introducing and eventually implementing these requirements to The Emerald Cup is the natural progression of growing."

Regenerative agriculture is an organic farming practice that that uses resources locally available, from manure to mulch, it takes into consideration biological systems, and provides for plant nutrition and crop production, over time farmers see an increases to soil fertility. The practice of regenerative agriculture with organic farming is said to produce healthy soil, clean water, clean air, and the highest quality cannabis from artisanal flowers to the finest extracts.

In addition, this year The Emerald Cup welcomes Alex and Allyson Grey, visionary artists and activists. They will be participating in industry panel discussions, live-painting during the music portion of the festival, and will be engineering a light show. Also new this year, Damian Marley will be hosting a kick-off party on Friday, December 9th. This special kick off party is included in the new Xperience tickets, the general admission ticket for the December 9th event will go on sale later this month. The Emerald Cup, founded by Tim Blake in 2003, is California's premier outdoor organic medicinal cannabis competition for growing and breeding.
