The Associates of Idyllwild Arts Foundation, a 501c3 organization celebrating their 50th anniversary, presents the two-person play LOVE LETTERS featuring beloved television, stage, and motion picture actors Wendie Malick and Dan Lauria for one very special evening. According to Michael Slocum, President of the Associates, "The response by theatre lovers to the one-night only performance is no surprise!" Both recognized for their portrayal of memorable characters on and off the television screen, with a real-life friendship that spans over 25 years, the chemistry and timing between Malick and Lauria make them the perfect duo for this two-person romantic production.

Wendie Malick, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress, is best recognized for her comical roles in television shows "Hot in Cleveland" and "Just Shoot Me". When asked why she wanted to be part of the performance in Idyllwild, Malick enthusiastically replied, "I am a great believer in total immersion and Idyllwild is a place where one can do just that." Craving opportunities that allow her to immerse in her passion and play with "like-minded people" brought her to Idyllwild. "The thought that a school like Idyllwild Arts Academy exists, makes me both thrilled and envious!"

Best known for his role as Jack Arnold in the television show "The Wonder Years" and his performance in the film "Independence Day", Dan Lauria is equally excited about supporting the school. "I wish I could have gone to such a creative school." Adding that, "Hell, I'd be a leading man instead of a character actor if I went to Idyllwild Arts Academy!" Lauria's Goddaughter attends the school, who is also Malick's niece.

Tickets to the one-night only performance are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP ticket holders. As part of the Associates' 50th Anniversary, the evening will include a post-production reception for VIP ticket holders to meet Malick and Lauria. VIP tickets also include reserved seating in front of the theatre. As of print, while there is less than ten $50 V.I.P tickets available, general admission tickets to the live performance are still available for purchase.

The 7:30pm performance on Saturday, November 11th, will be at the Idyllwild Arts Theater on the Idyllwild Arts Academy campus at 52500 Temecula Road, Idyllwild 92549. All tickets may be purchased at www.associatesofiaf.org or by mailing a check to the Associates, PO Box 303, Idyllwild, CA 92549. more
