Get ready to soar into the enchanting world of Mary Poppins, as Palm Canyon Theatre presents Disney’s classic musical from November 29 through December 22, 2024. This family-friendly production brings the beloved story of the world’s most famous nanny to life with captivating performances, stunning visuals, and timeless songs, perfect for celebrating the holiday season together.

Based on the classic tales by P.L. Travers and the 1964 Walt Disney film, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins tells the story of the Banks family and their enchanting, no-nonsense nanny who shows them that “anything can happen if you let it.” With unforgettable songs such as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” the musical blends adventure and heartwarming lessons about family, kindness and believing in the extraordinary.

The production boasts a talented cast including Se Layne as Mary Poppins, Luke Rainey as Bert, Eric Stein-Steele as George Banks, Jenne Carey as Winnifred Banks and Lawrence Hatch and Reagan Kaminsky as their children – Michael and Jane – and Amanda Burr as Mrs. Corry. The cast also features Adam Hieter, Terry Huber, Norma Marcus, Olga Morales, Timothy Rathkey, Tim Steele, Noah Wahlberg and Alden West among its 30 talented performers. Colorful costumes, fanciful choreography, intricate sets and dazzling visual effects magically transport the audience to the rooftops of London.

Mary Poppins is directed by Derik Shopinski, with choreography by Nathan Wilson and Derik Shopinski, and music direction by Tim Reed. Featuring set and lighting design by J.W. Layne, costume design by Derik Shopinski and projections and visual effects by Nick Edwards. The book is by Julian Fellowes with music and lyrics by Richard Sherman, Robert Sherman, Anthony Drewe and George Stiles.
